Hello Oak Grove Families!
My name is Mrs. Stinson, and I am excited to be serving as the school counselor at Oak Grove Elementary on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. I am so happy to be part of the Oak Grove community and look forward to supporting our amazing students.
As a school counselor, my role is to help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I work with students in a variety of ways, including:
• Meeting with students individually
• Small counseling groups focused on important life skills
• Classroom lessons on Social Emotional Learning (SEL) topics
• Supporting students with big emotions, friendship challenges, problem-solving, and confidence building
My goal is to help every student feel safe, supported, and successful at school.
I also collaborate closely with teachers, families, and staff to make sure students have the support they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
I feel very grateful to be here at Oak Grove Elementary, and I look forward to getting to know all of the wonderful students and families in our community!
